Windows 8 ‘Metro’ Start Screen is Unavoidable - salinasformselly97
Bad news for people World Health Organization hatred Metro (or whatever Microsoft's calling it forthwith): there's apparently no way for users to get around the tiled Start carte du jour user interface in Windows 8.
According to ZDNet, in that location is no right smart to boot accurate to the traditional Windows desktop in the final version of Windows 8–which is now shipping to manufacturers. In previous tech builds of the OS there was a shortcut for exit like a shot to the desktop.
While the tiled Start screen is supposed to make users' lives easier, it may do the take opposite for around. For example, a power user WHO has nary wont for the simplified Metro-style apps of Windows 8, and who needs the more powerful time-honoured apps. Or a business user, whose work computers lone necessitate to footrace a cash in register application program.
For these folks, the covered Start screen is more of a useless nuisance than anything, and will but slow down their work. The only solution is to apply new shortcuts in Windows 8. Pressing the Windows and D keys will admit you to the traditional Windows desktop, spell Windows + B takes you from the newfangled covered user interface to the currently active traditional desktop application. At length, Windows + M loads the orthodox Windows screen background from the start screen, and minimizes all applications.
Right nowadays these shortcuts are the merely way to get around the new interface. Whether this is a smart move is moot, but Microsoft could be doing this to force everyone–consumers and business users–to get used to a new Windows experience.
In the long run, is that a bad thing?
